In the year 2009 a national level training was organised for social audit in Ranchi in which more than 250 participants from all over the country participated.The foundation was laid down for effective social audits. The District administration with the help of CSOs and local volunteers conducted social audits all across the state and Gram Sabha and hearings at Block and Districts were organised.

  • Building capacities of Gram Sabha for conducting social audit
  • Deploying suitable resource persons at village/ Block/ district/ state level
  • Create awareness amongst the community about their right and entitlements
  • Facilitate verification of records with primary stakeholders
  • Capacity building of all resource persons as well as State/ District/ Block Team

  • Sharing of the calendar and strategy with all stake holders & Civil society Organisations
  • Entry point meetings in Distts and IEC strategy
  • Seven Days exercise in one GP by a seven member team, One BRP, and 6 VRPs which shall include
  • Entry point meeting in GP
  • Door to Door Verification and Field Verification
  • Validation of Social Audit findings in Gram Sabha
  • Public hearing at Panchayats
  • Public hearing at District/State level

  • Test Audit in 108 GPs 
  • Social Audit of SSA in 5000 Schools
  • Social Audit of MDM in 5000 Schools
  • Social Audit of PDS, ICDS, BOCW & NSAP
  • Federation of Majdoor Manch in GPs
  • Orientation of VMCs in Villages.
  • Tab based audits to be introduced
